Blanchester Area Historical Society
Nellie & Dick's was located at 412 East Main Corner of East Main and Columbus.
This small neighborhood grocery was started around 1934 by Les Hudgel. It was later sold to H.A. Purcell.
John and Hazel Schrikel were the third owners and operated the business until 1955 when it was purchased by Dick and Nellie Marlette.
Blanchester residents have many fond memories of sodas and candy purchased as kids from Nellie and Dick's.
