Religion has always played a part in small rural communities. The Blanchester area is no exception. From simple wooden structures to majestic chapels with stained glass windows the churches of the area cover a variety of denominations. Some of these structures are long gone but many are still here to inspire us all. Local denominations include: Catholic, Universalist, Baptist, Methodist, Penecostal, Mennonite, United Brethren, Church of Christ and Friend’s.
