Collection: Hannah Funeral Home

Albert L. Hannah, founder of Hannah Funeral Home, was born on May 31, 1879 near Georgetown, Ohio in Brown County. At an early age his parents moved to Clinton County near Clarksville. Albert received his education in the Clarksville school system.

At 18 he started as a student embalmer. After receiving his embalmer's license he opened a mortuary in Martinsville in 1902. In 1906 Hannah moved his operations to the much larger town of Blanchester.  Hannah Funeral Home was moved to it's present location on W. Main St. in 1914. The funeral home was remodeled and redocorated in 1923 and again in 1929.

The funeral home currently operates as Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home.
