Collection: Cline's Department Store

Samuel B. Cline began his merchandising career in Marion, Ohio in 1912. Three years later he established a large retailing operation in Hillsboro, Ohio. In 1922 he founded Cline's Department Store in Blanchester.

In 1945, six years prior to Mr. Cline's death, the business was taken over by his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Harold L. Haines, who continued the family name in retailing tradition.
