Collection: Midland School
Midland School was located at the "Y" where Broadway ,S.R. 68. and Shawnee Trace intersect.
Constructed in 1873, Midland School was a grammar school that served Midland until 1922 when it was decommissioned. The new Jefferson School was built about a mile south down SR 68. This school taught both elementary and high school students.
It was a 2 story building with 4 rooms and featured unique architectural details for a small rural community.
