Blanchester Civil War veteran Lewis Achor died 16 days after his 100th birthday. Lewis was a member of Company A, 48th Ohio Volunteer Infantry (OVI) and fought at the Battle Of Shiloh. At that time, Mr Achor was one of the last three living Civil War veterans in Clinton County.
