Blanchester children wait with American flags for the arrival of George White, Governor of Ohio. The Governor was in town to celebrate the Blanchester Centennial by helping to open the celebrations and to dedicate the newly finished Main St. A mile of the street was refinished with brick. This construction is also the reason Blanchester held their Centennial in 1933 instead of the actual anniversary of 1932.
