Maps are a valuable tool for any historical research. Many old maps included the names of residents and landowners. Some town maps include directories of the merchants and other valuable information. This collection contains maps of Blanchester and local communities as well as vintage maps of Ohio that show how the counties and townships were formed and developed. One thing you learn from studying old maps is that many towns had more than one name in their history. Midland started out as Clinton Valley before a name change to Midland City. It was eventually shortened to just Midland.
